About
I was born and raised in California, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from The University of California, Berkeley in 2001.
As an avid runner, I discovered Pilates as a way to prevent and recuperate from running injuries and started taking lessons as a student while still living in California.
I relocated to Rome in 2002 and continued to take lessons. In 2004 I started my teaching journey with the Polestar Pilates teacher training course, becoming a certified instructor in Matwork and Studio in 2005.
In 2007 I was invited to participate in the comprehensive certification course offered by Balanced Body University in Italy and had the opportunity to study with Elizabeth Larkam. I earned the Mat and Reformer certifications in 2007 and the Comprehensive certification in 2019.
In 2009 I certified as a Level 1 Trainer in the GYROTONIC® method.
Throughout the last 15 years of teaching I have attended many conferences and studied with leaders in the field such as Madeline Black, Trent McEntire, Brent Anderson, Jenna Zaffino and many more.
More recently I became a Certified Practitioner in The Roll Model Method® studying directly with Jill Miller, the creator of the method.
My vast personal movement background ranging from competitive athlete to recovering new mom, combined with countless hours of courses and hands on experience, provide me with a toolbox full of knowledge and empathy.
Being a mother-tongue English speaker, and 18 year resident in Rome, I am particularly adept at working with international clientele.
